In an effort to enhance awareness and empower women in the villages of Sitapura and Gangadiya, the Unnati project organized an essential training session focusing on constitutional rights relevant to women and girls. This initiative stemmed from a recognition of the pressing need for women in these areas to understand their legal and constitutional rights. Key topics covered included Article 39(a) of the Constitution, which advocates for equal livelihood opportunities for both men and women, and Article 39(d), which demands equal pay for equal work irrespective of gender. Additionally, the session delved into the essence of equality as enshrined in Article 14, aligning with the values articulated in the preamble of the Constitution. The training also encompassed vital legislations like The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976, The Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, and The Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, all pivotal in safeguarding women's rights and promoting gender equality."
