A Health Camp was organized in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department

and the Panchayath Department at Soratur, attracting an overwhelming response from

the community. Over 400 beneficiaries took part in the camp, benefiting from a wide range

of essential health services.

The camp provided medical tests and services such as sugar and diabetes testing,

eye examinations, pregnancy tests, blood donation drives, and ECG tests, all aimed at

promoting health awareness and ensuring timely diagnoses. Dr. Venkatesh Rathod,

the District Health Officer, played a key role in the successful execution of the camp,

which contributed significantly to the overall health and well-being of the community.

Feedback:

"I am truly grateful for the eye test provided at the health camp. For some time now, I’ve been experiencing vision problems, but I wasn’t sure what was causing it or how to address it. When I learned that an eye test was available at the camp, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. The test helped identify the exact issue with my vision, something I hadn’t been able to pinpoint on my own. Now, with the results in hand, I feel much more confident in

taking the necessary steps to get proper care and treatment. “

"The diabetes screening at the health camp was truly an eye-opener for me. I had no idea that I was at risk for diabetes, and I had never really considered my health in that way before. When I got the test done, I was surprised by the results, but it was also a wake-up call. It made me realize how important it is to be proactive about my health and to pay closer attention to the warning signs. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to get tested, as it has given me the knowledge I need to make better lifestyle choices.”

-Shekar Chandra, Resident of Attikatti and Health Camp Beneficiary
